Crigglestone Methodist Church



The Mission of Crigglestone Methodist Church is to respond to the good news, revealed in the gospel message of God’s love, through worship, fellowship and outreach by serving the local community and beyond as Holy Spirit-led disciples and followers of the teaching and example of Jesus Christ.

Services:


Sunday • 10.45 am (No Junior Church at present)
• Holy Communion held once per month.
• Baptisms held as part of Sunday Service.
• Occasional shared morning and/or evening serviceswith nearby St. James’ Parish Church at Chapelthorpe.

General Information:

Crigglestone is an ex-mining community located in south Wakefield near Junction 39 of the  M1 Motorway. The village has expanded in recent times with new housing areas, but still retains its village character. The church is located on the old High Street next to the small Community Centre. There is a Junior & Infant School nearby. The church premises comprises an upstairs function room, downstairs meeting room and sanctuary, which seats about 100 people.
